i have a 16.3 wb who has dropped a bit of weight off after having her wolf teeth out. she is currently on about 2-3 kg fast fibre turn out every day 1kg hay on morning and large eliminet in evening which admittedly i dont weight. do i just up her hay (she eats her straw bed and will choose this over hay despite hay being lovely and soft and sweet) or do i put micronised linseed if so how much as it seems quite expensive. We are mid norfolk so no idea who to get it from.

I would feed ad lib hay before adding anything else, personally. Linseed is fab if extra is still needed after that, however :).

I would say up the hay but if she's eating the straw over the hay then I'd do the linseed. You can get it online frm Charnwood milling and a bag lasts ages. They deliver so you shouldn't have any problems getting it.

she does eat the hay but if you put fresh straw in she will pick at it then go back to hay after few mouth fulls. I am inclined to let her eat the straw if she wants to as it fills her up and doesnt seem to do her any harm.

I put her out with 1kg of hay so she has something but most of the time she leaves it on the floor in the field and walks on it hence not giving her a lot as she wastes it anyway.
