Micronised Linseed - shelf life?

Needing to buy some more micronised linseed, but as I am only giving it to one horse I wonder how long it keeps for?
I don't want to buy a large bag and then it goes off. I am only giving a small amount at the moment as he is doing little work.

Not sure on shelf life but you can buy in smaller bags ( ebay)

Very long time so long as you keep it cool and dry - certainly several months. Vitamins deteriorate with time but oil is a lot slower and it is the oil we feed it for.

I buy a 20kg bag of linseed and haven't yet had one go off. It's in a metal feed bin so that probably keeps it fresh but it easily lasts me 6 months.

I believe the shelf life is 6 months.

OK, thanks. I keep it in a cool feed room and in an airtight container.
