Micronised linseed

If you can't find micronised, have a look for actual linseed oil - I had been using micronised for a while for my 24 yr old, then someone who's knowledge I totally respect (and successfully managed several oldies including some in their 30s) suggested the oil. She said it is utilised better in oil form. I don't know how true this is, but it certainly did make a further difference to my old lad. And it's easier to pick up, I bought a 5ltr container for about £18 and it lasted just about as long as a bag of the micronised.

I definitely think I've seen the oil for sale locally, so thanks for the plan B option...

All of mine are on it. Old semi retired slug, piggy child's pony and my tart of a mare. The two yearlings will be getting some shortly as they are very scurfy!

Fiona, Jim mccoosh, the guy in dromore that sells simple systems, does the large sacks of micronised linseed quite reasonably, and he delivers

That's good to know :) I'd checked a price for simple systems linseed and it was 40 per bag, nearly double other brands. Maybe he stocks another brand of it. I'll ask him next time we are over for hay care. ..

Thanks
