Microniseed linseed

What is the most in grams that you would feed microniseed linseed?
We feed the show horses a cup full (its an old farriers formula measuring cup) for good coat shine, but wondered if there were any guidleines people know of for maximum amount you can feed

Horsemaster's Notebook quotes no more than 1lb daily of linseed oil meal (presume that's the same) or 1/2 to 1lb daily of linseed you soak and boil.

100 - 250g per day for coat shine purposes. For general conditioning up to 500g per day. In exceptional circumstance, though, up to 1kg per day can be fed for short periods.
