Midges - gaahhh!

Midges in bloody January! This is not right. Horses were going potty yesterday afternoon because there were clouds of midges everywhere. Midges make my boy headshake and I'm not happy. Think he's going to have to start wearing a flymask.....in January. How messed up is that?

I think I will actually cry if I see midges out this early! At least its still cold enough for full neck rugs!

i know a fantastic spray! i would not have believed it had i not tried it myself its made by Avon yes thats right lol its a dry oil spray apparently the us forces have it when they go off to exotic locations its fantastic for flies midges mossies! if you want to know the actual name let me know i will find it out.

The spray is Avon skin so soft and fresh - one of the very important ingredients in my fly spray receipe - though I use the bath oil in it.

yes thats the one its very good! as you can use it on yourself too! go to avon website its easy to order,i also use the bath oil in manes and tails. good luck.

I've upped the brewers dose on my boy due to the midges

I think I'll get a bottle of the Avon spray - looks like we;ll have the little buggers for a while.
CotswoldsSJ - do you mean brewers yeast? Does this work against Midges?
