Midges, midges and more midges

Yep same here in Derbyshire. My ponies have been naked all winter but I have just had to buy a fly rug as my clipped mare was really stressed with them. OH says it is because we have had such a mild winter. Another thing to blame global warming on along with sodden muddy paddocks

I feel so bad, I left my boy for a couple of hours yesterday morning with just his turnout on as it was cold and windy and by 11am he'd rubbed most of the hair off both sides of his face and has swellings under his stomach and missing hair by his armpits

Fly rug with stomach cover and fly mask have been on since and will stay on.
