literally just discovered that on facebook there is an "other" folder in the messages. found a message from someone over a year ago saying

"i think i might know of your pony . he was at a riding school and a girl bought him . i am sure his name was cavalier . but she called him skitlles . she swaped him for another to a freind of mine who sold him to a lovley family who will have him for life as they have children fron 1 up . the wee girl that had him that i knew was called holly seivwright . she is on facebook."

messaged them back tonight and they know the person that used to own him and have gave me their details so they can pass me on to his current owners!

he apparently ended up back in a riding school them someone bought him then there was a lot of swapping ponies going on. been crying for the past 10 mins i cant believe i might actually get to see him again! its been nearly 8 years of wondering where he is and what happened to him! trying not to get my hopes but but omg!

if any of you own a 12.2 grey gelding called skittles own up now haha!

it was the worst thing ever having to sell him Love, he was just too little for me :( if he had even been a hand bigger i could have kept him forever. im completed elated!

hes up near inverness undergroundoli so a bit of a trek away for me, but if his owners agree to letting me come see him it will be 100% worth it

Wow what a lovely thread. He looks great in the photo I'm thrilled for you.

Inverness is a lovely city and the countryside around there is beautiful. My mum used to run a guesthouse in Drumnadrochit. If you can then go see him and make a weekend of it. Fly to Inverness and hire a car, or get the train. V cheap!!!

yeah its lovely there atlantis, he'll be right at home if hes out the country hes was a bloody bog pony haha always rank! i might do that if they agree to me visiting!

thanks noodles!

even if they would rather i didnt come see im just so happy knowing hes okay and well loved and cared for. hes a fantastic little dude

Aww, so happy for you!

I got a new client to teach a few weeks ago, we got talking about first ponies and she said how shed had to sell hers and had worried about him ever since, never managed to find him. He had an unusual name which rang a bell, long story short it turned out I had taught the new owners on him for years when I lived about 6 counties away.
He'd since died but I could tell her that the people he'd had an amazing home, been loved and looked after.

V small world - like fate sometimes :)
