My little welsh a who is normally the life and soul of the yard has had a bad year
Shes normally galloping round the field bucking/broncing/jumping out the field and im normally tearing my hair out trying to keep her under control as she likes to prance in/out to the field. She started to be quiet in June and at the end of June she had a mild case of laminitus in 3 feet (both fronts and a hind) she recovered quickly but wasnt back to her normal self.
I didnt lunge her for quite a while after, and first started trying to lunge her again in august when i was sure she had no more problems with her laminitus but she was lame in her back end on one rein so i left her again for a while thinking she was just a bit stiff.
Ive started trying to lunge her again in the last few weeks, as she was trotting sound in the field but still not quite herself .. more bargy, impatient, snappy ect, but shes still lame on the one rein
So i got my friend to lunge her so i could watch, she goes fine on one rein but on the rein shes lame she was reluctant to trot, and when she did trot she was shaking her head around alot and arching her back a bit
Im not quite sure what to do now, rest hasnt helped so i think im going to call out the vet to have a look at her even though the lameness is very mild. Does anyone have an ideas what could be wrong??
