mildew on saddle

I bought a saddle about 10 months ago. I think the previous owner must have put loads of oil or something on it, as mildew grows on in at any opportunity! My other saddles don't do this, so I know its not too damp where I store them.

Any ideas on how to get this mildew out, or what to put on the surface of the saddle?

damp cloth then plenty of saddle soap-then a fleecy saddle cover! mine does the same otherwise!

keep it covered when its not in use (I found mine goes mouldy really quickly if it is not used for just a few days)
