Really do think this is newsworthy stuff as are there any other sires who can boast...

5 4yo's off to the British Eventing Young Horse Championships, 3 having won their qualifiers and 3 of them also off to Burghley all having won their BYEH qualifers!!

Congratulations millsandboon!! (and i'm a proud owner too!)

It's a great achievement but don't forget he has been marketed as an event sire so I would have been disappointed if he hadn't produced the goods considering he has had some good mares to him! Most have been purposely bred to him from suitable competition mares whereas other stallions in the past have usually been marketed (if they ever were at all) as competing or plain TB sires, used by run of the mill mares (not being derogatory to anyone, hope you know what I mean!) and their youngstock might have got into a competition home by chance.

Yes, I would agree with MFH that we have been lucky that people have sent some excellent mares to Mill Law, however, the majority of youngsters out competing at the moment are out of mainly unproven mares, as they are from his early days at stud before he had made a name for himself. The likes of Run of The Mill, Cotton King (who I would just like to sneak in has just qualified for the 6yr old BE Champs today), Millie on Air, Sugar Shack Mill and Coopers Law are all out of mares that have not been proven, so from that point of view the future looks very exciting for when the offspring with proven mares hit the scene.
