He is now 9 months and is a typical spaniel- if I could bottle his exuberence and enthusiasm for life I'd make a fortune!! Constantly on the go, loves all things wet and mucky, he has an obsession with butterflies, still doesnt chase the hens and ducks (although this has somewhat backfired as the first time he met a pheasant he turned tail and ran so his career as a gun dog is now in doubt!), patrols the fields (our fox problem has disappeared), he comes hacking, his training is improving all the time and dare I say it his recall is still brilliant!! He went in for the snip last week and I was told to keep him quiet and clean- yeah right!! His lampshade lasted less than 24 hours before being shredded from being bashed through the undergrowth- they really should design a spaniel resistant one!! He gets on great with the other dogs, even the GSD who can be a bit of a grumpy old lady plays with him and although he likes to think he torments the cat, the cat actually torments him, constantly ambushing and leaping on him before hiding up a tree- Milo has yet to realise he can't climb trees and it's a constant wonder for him that birds and cats can!!

Anyway here are some pics of him all grown up

still a mucky puppy! He's constantly submerging himself in the water troughs to clean himself though and loves getting washed with the cold hose!!

Well of course I think he's gorgeous (he's very like your lad but in liver and white!) but have had some very knowledgable, serious gun dog people say he's a very good dog and would make a great working dog or stud- bit of a waste as he's a pet and has now had his crown jewels removed!!! - he hasn't any papers anyway as he was a rescue!

Just a quick ques but what do you feed your boy- Milo was very malnourished and skinny when I got him and although he's ok now (14 kgs) he's still quite skinny. He's also quite fussy and isn't greedy like my other dogs. Atm he's on chudleys junior which he actually eats and I feed him little and often as he doesn't stay still long enough to eat a big meal!- he also gets bones, raw eggs, mince or chicken a few times a week. He's just so busy and active he seems to burn it off as quick as it goes in!!

Gina B I think you shoud do what I do and have a variety of breeds/types so you get the best of each!!

Otto is fed on acana, it's fairly expensive, but he does really well on it. He was on skinners duck and rice before, he did ok on it but he had to have twice the amount recommended just to keep him covered! Anything else gives him the squits!
Now he is really well covered and looks brill on the acana. He also gets bits of meat, fish etc to keep him happy! :D
