Milo went to the Cumberland Show today - he's 4 weeks old and was a little star. Both he and the mare came 2nd in their class (off two :D:D) however the judge said the only reason he placed the other foal above was it was a little older, otherwise there wasn't anything in it :D:D:D The mare that won got reserve champion so really, really pleased with both of them.
They both behaved impecibly, Milo did not enjoy his bath at all but was very good about it all. Loaded and travelled really well both directions.

Really stressed out foally waiting for his class

Somehow I never really managed to get any pics of the mare :( Did have some nice proffesional ones taken but can't post as they have watermarks on them.

Vids to follow tho once loaded.

Because it was older it was a tad more developed so fair enough - got some really nice comments about how he had improved on the mare's faults (was very carefully in chosing the stallion for this reason) but he still liked the mare as well.
Very impressed with the judge and the one we lost to was from a very big stud - their 3 year old won the in-hand hunter championship and then was reserve overall champion.

Not to shabby for my first foal and their first show :D:D

Have to say can't thank my friends who did the showing for me enough (I can't run at all) - neither of them have ever shown in-hand before and my friend who handled the mare isn't even particularly horsey so they did brilliantly as well

What a lovely picture, that needs a frame and putting on your desk so you can see it all day whilst you work.

Congratulations on a successful day.
