Milton Keynes today
Well today I took Renny to Milton Keynes for the Hunter Trial to do the Open. Arrived in loads of time so we could walk the course!! and I was in shock!! it was over the ruddy Novice course and about 2 pre novice fences!!
But No I was fine, I am on an experienced horse (Never mind about the rider!) I will get round!
Warmed up lovely, went into the start box and off we went
There was some very technical fences in this course that I have never ridden before, so did not know what to expect, but thought I was just deal with them when I got to them!!
Did some corner's and skinny fences, and one which was an upright thing, 2 strides and over a big log.
We were all doing well until we got to fence 11 :-( which was a big up right, landing on a drop 2 strides out over the other side. I have done the pre novice version off this but not the novice!
Well, coming in far to fast and Renny just took a flyer over it which there was no way he could make the 2nd part, but I pushed him and he jumped the right part of the fence and I did my flying jump over the left part LOL! so I hit the deck! If I had not had the ruddy next fence in front of me then we would of been fine!!
Anyway got back on and finished the course, and the rest went fab!
I was really worried about one fence, which was a big step up then a fence on the top which was some barrels, but we did it fine!
All the fences I was worried about we did great, and the one I brushed past and thought o that's ok, I ruddy well fell off!
When you are on a 17.3 horse its a long old way to fall I have to say!!
Anyway really pleased that I had finished the ruddy thing!!
I got some fab photos, and when they are on the Internet will post them!
Thanks for reading
