Mine & Pepper's first BD report!

Just a quick one!
Set off at a very reasonable 11.30 to allow an hour's driving & an hour before my test to get ready (I could get used to this whole dressage thing!) and washed a very dirty Pepper beforehand who managed to get equally dirty on the journey there, so that went to pot slightly!
Arrived in good time, watched a couple of the unaff. tests & then got on. He warmed up quite nicely but was being very lazy and had a slight panic when he 'forgot' what canter left was (but that was quickly resolved!).
Went in, and did a nice calm test (Novice 38)- maybe a bit too calm and lacking 'sparkle', but I was chuffed that he got the counter canter on both reins because we were having trouble with him trying to be clever and attempt (crap) flying changes as he got to V at home, but all went well and I think he was rather surprised with himself!
Managed to speak to Law and saw the gorgeous Mr Darcy

I think I saw benji12 as well, who's party(mum?) kindly let my mum borrow their test sheet to call from!

We managed to come 2nd (much to my surprise!) and got 61.93% so now Pepper also has his first BD point - not bad for his first outing

I can't believe how much his medium trot has come on - he had no idea what to think of it when we I first started teaching him!
Pretty commendable for a little cob too

Nooo way will we give up Eventing, not enough adrenaline involved in dressage

I went on a ticket in Feb and got 57% so was really pleased to get 65.8% this time. I've affiliated now so hopefully i'll get some points next time!
