In seriousness I would think it would be such safer and indeed easier to just train the dog to walk on the left hand side of the horse.

The only issue I can see is the haters he will face in the show ring. Think of how sad he will be when a Great Dane gallops past on his Arab or thoroughbred. Might try to put my labradoodle onto the cob later
