Rolo and I have just got our own wheels, so bravely ventured out this morning to a Novice ODE at Towerlands. A walk/trot test followed by 2ft jumping - quite nice for a first ODE.
The dressage went well - we got mostly 6's and 7's, with and 8 for our halt
. Total 66.5%. My best score (out of 3)
The jumping was fun, if a little scrappy, but he didn't refuse any, even if I did have to insist at one, and force him to jump it from almost a walk
. We had two poles down, more due to pilot error and nerves than anything.
And we came 4th, so I am very pleased
.
