Mini rant, need to vent :(

So many people where I live have bought beautiful horses, and then lose interest after a few months and the horse is left sat in a field to rot.

My 6 year old who has been coming on so well is currently on box rest and may need upto October off work to recover from a pelvic injury, and thats best case scenario.

All I want to do is ride my horse, I get other offers to ride but they aren't him, they are not the same and I miss the feeling he gives me. I know I'm being selfish, and he just needs time to recover but a lovely horse I was looking to buy but couldn't get the money together earlier in the year is currently sat in a field after his new owner lost interest.

This made me think of the poor grey whose pic was on here a couple of weeks back all skinny and miserable, and the previous owner had to mount a rescue mission. I would have loved and treasured such a beautiful horse, and can't believe he would be treated like that. Mine is too sensitive for my abilities and will need to be sold, I would ride every day if I could manage him; I can't but I go every day to see him even on livery. no horses like that grey were around when I was looking, and I am so jealous and mad that someone wasted such an opportunity.

OP, I'm sorry your horse is injured and really hope that he makes a full, speedy recovery. But I really can't see the relevance to your situation of what other people choose to do with their own horses.
