Mini Shetland in back garden

Is this an early April Fool..... no definetly not!! Horses and ponies are herd animals so you can't just have one and you need an acre minimum really to allow for good pasture management and field rotation. Your garden wouldn't be enough for a large dog to exercise properly, never mind a pony!

My in laws used to keep an American miniature horse on about that size plot. He lived an awful life in my opinion. He was always frustrated and there was no grass at all for him. Tiny hooves are more like trotters and he lived essentially on a dirt lot. Big no from me. He did have some stereotypies that were seen as 'cute', like masturbating and chewing. Please don't do it.

Isn't it forbidden to keep a horse, or pony on his own ?

Here, it's against the law, you can't keep a horse, rabbit, guinea pig, sheep, cow donkey on their own.
