Mini takes new Pony Dressaging... & special twist.....

Well as Pony is officially ours now we decided at start of week to get Mini to take him out to try some Dressage... As Mini is 7 we broke test down into segments to learn.. she had it nailed by end of week so 5.30 am wake up call for her on Saturday Morning - thankfully she is a morning person..

Mini had given him a bath & a full groom day prior so all I had to do was plait & Mini worked on couple of small stable stains & off we went..


Pony unloaded from Lorry as cool as a cucumber & NOTHING phased him - even when couple of horses were a bit het up in Warm up.. Mini did a fab job adhering to the left to left rule & had no trouble at all, even when it was super busy... Was pretty hilarious to see them riding around with mahoosive big warmbloods & there was Mini on her little 12.2 piebald...

I was a bit of a nervous wreck so was glad I brought Minis coach with us as she had them do a great warm up & they verbally ran through test a couple of times ...
Mini knew test ( Prelim 12 ) off to a tee ... in they went and OMG she was just fantastic.. massive smile on her face the minute she turned down the centre line - in fact she never stopped smiling the entire test.. Pony was brilliant - didn't give her any problems at all...
The only place they went wrong was when Mini was having so much fun she completly overshot her final turn down centre line & turned at A - For a pony & rider together a week it really was Phenomenal.. I had loads of people come up & say she was great:0
I really think we are going to have many happy years with this pony - he is a STAR & Mini is defo a Star in the making.. very exciting times ahead..

So the twist is I posted one of the pics on Charlotte Dujardins FB Page - saying it would make mini so happy if Charlotte just liked the pic - eh nearly fell off the couch when I got a FB notification saying Charlotte had SHARED the pic & put up a little message... How amazing is that - seriously she is at the WEG & took the time to do it...what an absoloute fantastic sportswoman she is.. Mini went beyond hyper when I told her & Charlottes sharing has over 2000+ Likes & loads of comments from people all over the world :) Mini is going to write her a little thank you card & we will get it posted to her yard.

Delighted for Mini - she works damm hard, harder than alot of adults would as wants to succeed so much... So couple of pics below including "That One" - hope you enjoy.

Such a lovely thread have seen your previous ones about getting this pony and they really do look fab together such a good little rider well done!! :)
 
That last picture is gorgeous!! Sounds like they are a cracking combination. Well done her, and well done to you for thinking of posting it to Charlotte's page. It was lovely of her to share it - I've seen it on there (and liked! :)) and the responses are so heart warming. You need to print that out for her to keep!
 
OMG that is so lovely! Well done gorgeous Mini and Pony combo. Nearly cried at the CD thing… so glad for your Mini, who will never forget that. Just wonderful :)
 
Thanks a mil. The CD sharing of photo is just incredible! Close to 2500 likes now!!!! So excited for mini and bubbles... Think they will be successful across a range of disciplines.

Ah thanks that's lovely for you to say. Mini is v talented for her age and she has a super coach as well. We are aiming high but no pressure at all. I want them to have Heep's of fun together.

He scrubs up well lol and the other photo was taken on a slant he really is stunning. Its hilarious, my own mare is like a big sister in the field... Chases any horse away from him that is annoying him. Need to get it on video!

How great is it for her to get CD to share her photo mind you who could resist such enthusiasm and such a big smile
 
How lovely, and how nice of CDJ. I thought this pony was lovely when you bought it, one of the nicest I've seen on here, a really good pony for a child to learn on, hopefully not something she will have problems with, but something nice and genuine that knows it's job and will help her.
 
I can honestly say he is a super honest pony who I cant see us having any problems with at all... he has already in a week done wonders for minis riding as he is that good her coach can totally focus on Mini as he just does what he needs to do:)

Well done Mini and the wonder pony! Hope we find one as good as him when the time comes for my daughter. Mini is a beautiful little rider and what a surprise for Charlotte to share your photo!!

I, for one, will enjoy watching their journey together!
 
That's fantastic...well done Mini and cracking pony! How lovely of Charlotte to share. She seems like such a lovely person.
