Well I emailed the lady last night regarding my trail horse. Literally a couple of minutes after doing so I received a phone call from one of my boarders (her friend) who said she was coming up with the lady today.
Anyway they came up today and we all went out for a fantastic ride. The lady rode my trail mare and I could hear her giggling away throughout the whole ride, particularly when we were galloping up the hills through the forest
. On the way back she kept going on and on about what a fantastic horse she was and that this was the best ride she had ever had in her life! Honestly that is what she said!
So we came home and put the horses away and then went and sat down with our Pepsis and smokes. So I said to her that I had sent her an email last night and she was like, woo spooky! She hadn't checked her messages so hadn't received it before coming up here. She asked how much I wanted for her and I said $1,800 to which she almost spluttered her Pepsi out! I reminded her that she still has 1 months board in the bag (for when she sold her horse) so could get used to the mare here before taking her home to her place. She was looking really really excited and then she dropped a mini-bombshell; she said that if they weren't looking to move a fair way away then she would have gone to the bank today and paid for her, cash. They are planning to move way up north to outback country and once there she will definitely get a horse (and she said she would like my mare), but she doesn't know when they will sell their house which was why she had pretty much put buying a horse on hold until they had moved. That part I hadn't known, so I was thinking that perhaps this wasn't going to work out, sadly......and then she said, can I come back out again on Sunday
..... so not an update of any firm outcome, but I am hopeful and fairly confident that if she does buy a horse then it will most likely be my mare.
I'll just bide my time. I hadn't been planning on selling this mare anyhow so if it doesn't turn out then that's okay, I would just love it if it did, as my mare would adore being with her, and she quite obviously adores the mare.
