So... I've been looking into getting a miniature horse to keep my retired horse company while I'm out on my other horse and wanted some honest opinions!
Please fire away... The good, the bad and the ugly please 😊
Thanks in advance.

There are loads in rescue centres, if you do get one please could you consider rescue. Second chance have several fields behind where I keep my horses in Kent. There are loads of minis there, some nice, some not quite as nice but still need a home. Also full of coloured cob, a couple of which would make nice show ponies ......just mentioning in case anyone looking.....if I didn't already have three .......

Don't do it! They have a very annoying habit of multiplying! My "companion" has now turned into five potentially seven if my stallions done his job right :p

I have one and love her to bits but need to be kept separately for grazing issues. They love each other although I'm now tempted to get another mini as a companion for her.

I have just rescued 2 mini's from a charity and they are lovely, one of them is displaying some anxiety though but with rescue you sometimes get issues but nothing insurmountable and they have only just arrived so need time to settle.

The grazing is a bit of a juggle as they need bald paddocks but if you have a tiny or sparse space for them they will be fine.

Very cheeky characters and very loveable , not bothered by my dogs either one of whom is as big as one of the mini's.
