MiniTD and Noffy: a little update, Brand Hall report and some exciting news :-)

You already know how much of a fan I am of Mini TD & the Noffmeister! Brilliant result all round for the team! And yikes re your encounter with JP - not one for the faint hearted!
Fingers crossed for them getting a trip across the water but not wishing misfortune on any other team members. X

Bodes well for the continued success of the GB Eventing team, both juniors and seniors :)
You must so so proud and T to ride so well under pressure is brilliant. Hope she gets on the team :)

Wooo woo go team TD, a massive achievement to all concerned, what a fab report I was feeling you joy elation with every moment ..well done team Noffy fingers crossed for them getting called up although not wishing misfortune on anyone else.....:D

Absolutely massive well done. Superb effort & Noffy looks perfect in every photo - I hope T has another year or so in ponies they are a great team:D:D

Fabulous mammoth report! What a pingy pony Noffy is. Fantastic to win a place on the squad and fingers crossed she gets to France. Without wishing ill on anyone else, of course! Huge congratulations to the pair of them and the TD team :D

Great report! Not wanting to wish anyone else ill health but would love to see them go to France, still reserve is a pretty sweet achievement! Is this her last year?

Fabulous report. Well done to all involved! Bet your daughter is absolutely thrilled.
And how lucky your daughter is to have such a supportive mum!

I love ponies!!

FFirst of all, many apologies, it was very wude of me to do a report then disappear off the airwaves for ages  I have been on HHO once or twice for a minute or two at a time over the weekend, but was rushing round somewhat and never had the chance to sit down and do justice to all your lovely replies :) So here goes...

Congratualtions! Hope T gets to France.

Thanks dd, so do we :p

Made it all the way through & can only say CONGRATULATIONS!!!! what a fab report - well done to T & Noffy!! I bet you are super proud :D xx

Major congratulations for making it all the way through, it's a bit of an epic :D And thanks, I am very proud of the pair of them...

Epic report, and a fitting result, both in the placing and team slot. Massive well done to you all, and if only there were more Noffys in 16hh versions in the world!

Epic indeed (think I just stole your description above!) And we would all like a Noffy in 16 hands (or 17 hands in BD's case...), although it would certainly make the dressage judges' lives more varied ;)

Oh my! How exciting for you all :)

Congrats - what an amazing opportunity and what a wonderful pony he is! :)

Thanks, Scarlett, he is absolutely wonderful but rest assured, he knows it...

Wow what a weekend and what fab news. Love all the pictures and your post had me smiling away :)

Thanks _Rach_ we had a fab, if damp, time. Caroline was around some of the time (with a quick trip to Hexham in between - mad woman!!) but didn't really get to see her...

Fab report :D Noffy is a superstar and so is the jockey obviously but he is so pingy!

Every thing crossed that they get to go to the europeans (although not wanting any one elses pony to have any thing bad happen) and that noffy remembers his love for the dressage if they get to go.

dafthoss, thanks, he is the pingiest of pingy ponies, and we specialise in them hereabouts (hence my love for yours ;)) Although I think it may be more a case of Noff discovering his love for dressage than remembering it - maybe he will discover his inner diva :D

What a brilliant report! Absolutely, fantastically well done on the placing, and well what can I say about being reserve for the British team, amazing! Very well deserved, they look like a great partnership. :-)

Aww, thanks Bills, much appreciated - do you think you could be a bit more generous with the compliments?! :D:cool:

Loved the report, well done to both of them (and you too, you must be so proud!)!

Thanks WB, I am indeed very proud of them :)

Congratulations and good luck :D

Thanks rara - a fellow pony-lover :)

Fabulous report and I an right behind you in saluting these wonderful little athletes who give their all over such large fences. Incredibly well done to T and to all of the team with a huge :D for the lynchpin - Mum.

Everything crossed that somehow you get to the champs while also not hoping for bad news for another team member. Just absolutely delighted for you all :)

Just a final thought, but have you ever considered an alternative career for Noffy as he might just make a showjumper? :D :D

Thanks so much measles, they are truly wonderful creatures these ponies, as I think anyone who has been involved with higher level pony competition appreciates. When you think that we trust them with our children over these huge tracks...

As for an alternative career for Noffy, you would know better than me if he would go SJ: I've never thought he had the scope for the highest levels (what are they? 1.40m??) but to be fair he always suprises me and we've had him over some decent fences at home. He always clears them, but always by about 1cm - but could just be his economy as he never tries that hard at home ;) I think he'd miss the XC too much though - and the dressage, of course :D

You mean there are people who AREN'T Noffy fans????

As I said before, whoooooo hooooooo! So pleased for all of you and big congrats to (a very grown up looking!) T. It would be great to see them get to France (great for them, not so great for someone else, obviously) but even to be involved in the Squad will be a tremendous experience.

I raise a glass of Brecon Gin and Tonic to you all, especially the good soldier brown pony!

Thanks TS (hope you had a good weekend en Paris btw). Squad involvement is very exciting although a tiny bit wied: you have to plan as though you are going, while all the time knowing you almost certainly aren't :( And I'm out of Brecon Gin right now (silly schoolgirl error) but will join you in raising my mug of coffee to the brilliant Noff :)

Brilliant report! LOVE Noffy, he looks like the type of pony every girl should have :D Huge congrats for being selected and I hope you make it.

Thanks Leg_end, I love Noffy too ;)

How exciting and well done to all of you

Thanks Hornby :)

Massive well done to the TD team and Noffy's face over those sjs is one of 'who needs dressage? ;) '

And fingers crossed for France ;)

Thanks teapot, and you are so right, Noffy's face most of the time is "Who needs dressage?" interspersed with "Yayyy more jumping", "Yayyy more grass" and "WHERE ARE THE POLOS???" :D

Great report! Fingers crossed for Tilly.

Thanks, L :)

Wow wow wow!! And wow! Absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing with us :) you must be brimming with pride!

Thanks Lex, I do feel quite proud of them - I even posted on our Pony Club FB Page :D

FANTASTIC!!!! :D:D:D:D:D

Thanks diggerbez :)

Super report and huge congratulations to you all :)

Thanks S_J :)

how fab! Noffy looks lovely :D

Thanks star, I think he is truly scrumptious, but then I'm biased ;)

Fabby report, Go Noffy & Tilly! What little superstars you've made there. All bendy bits crossed that they make the team... Being reserves is a huge accomplishment.
Poor you facing Janet's wrath alone though, i can just picture it!

Thanks so much, k, they have put a lot of work in. It was quite funny re JP, I was remarkably sanguine really, think I had bigger things to worry about as T was about to start.

Fantastic report :D

Massive well done! What a super combination!

Thanks Kirsty :)

Massive well done to all of you, but especially you- being the team to a teenager and pony is never easy... Even with Super Noffy on the case XC it must be bloody terrifying to watch/ listen to- I can hardly cope with Reg doing BE100 and he's twice Noffy's height, jumping far smaller and I don't even care that much about his jockey (jokes, for Al who will read this :P)!

I hope T does get to go to France, but even so just to be selected must be so exciting! Is this her final year in Ponies?

T was giggling out loud reading your reply, Lolo so thanks for that :D It is quite dizzy-making sometimes, but I do trust Noffy implicitly to look after himself, and therefore T, even if he is a bit unconventional at times ;) I think it will be a hundred times worse on horses...

Sadly this is her final year in ponies - I have always said that the timing is about right to move on but now am feeling a bit differently, as they are still making so much progress and there is a lot more to come... Plus she has an end of year birthday so many of her peers do actually have an extra year - bad planning on my part :D

What a wonderful report, thank you! And obviously all the best of luck to mini TD and the fantabulous Noffy! :)

Thanks l_f :)

Brilliant report, huge congratulations to you all, a huge achievement, hopefully T will get to France, everything crossed :D

Thanks WB - you know what they say, what will be will be

What a fantastic report. Well done T.

Thanks sm :)

Super report and huge congrats to all of you. Realistically, I guess it's unlikely she'll go to France but being selected as a reserve is a huge honour and there's always next year :).

Thanks Rf. Opinions vary on our chances of going - some (very knowledgeable) people are quite optimistic, but they haven't called up a reserve for the last 2 years at least... I offered her the chance to go to Haras des Pins in August as a consolation prize - at least you get to ride with a union jack on your saddlecloth :D - but she would rather have a crack at the PC Champs again, then we need to start to try and find a worthy home :(

Fantastic report and brilliant news! Congratulations!

Thanks Booboos :)

Absolutely fab report and a very well deserved result for everyone who works so hard.
Good Luck for the team fingers crossed for a mega road trip :D

Thanks FC, we like mega road trips - have had some great ones up to Burgie over the years :)

Fab report! I saw one of the sj photos on facebook yesterday, shared by someone - can't recall who - and thought to myself at the time what a cracking looking pony :)

Thanks Mildred, he is very photogenic :)

I almost confess to a tear at your final paragraph (steady on, I said almost! *phew, reputation still intact*).

Yes, it's all about Noffy, but I think he rest of Team TD should stand up and take a bow! Here's to some sort of bizarre happening which allows T a trip to France without something awful happening to one of her team-mates :).

Thanks so much, GB, it makes me feel quite emotional too. There were loads of us blubbing during the lap of honour, I think we must all be mad really - it was such a lovely win for Nui, she really deserved it :)

Fantastic report, love the bit about JP! And the account of the measuring! Will he run again somewhere before the date falls?

Thanks t_e, it was all pretty funny, even at the time :D The squad have a final run at Barbury in 3 weeks time then that's it.

Great report - Congratulations to Mini T and Noffy :D obviously helped in a huge way by Mum! How very, very exciting.

Thanks LJR :)

Wow, amazing, what a super report! Being a dressage bod (!) I tend not to comment on the eventing reports but yours was great. Congratulations to T on her selection, you must all be thrilled and very proud :)

Aww thanks for breaking the mould, Tempi, it means a lot :) We are indeed all thrilled and proud

Absolutely fantastic!! So pleased for you, T and Noffy of course :p

We love Islay too... it always put a smile on our faces when we see she is judging - and she always comments on how 'fit, well and bouncy' Morris looks

Really hope T gets to France :D

Thanks Ali :) Islay is an extraordinary person, soooo positive, yet insightful and incisive. She is quite brilliant with teenage minds (hence her various BD roles I guess) and I have learned so many new coaching skills from her :)

Well done to Tilly and her pony. It's a difficult position to be in as a team reserve, but you know how well they have done and will do in the future I'm sure.
You will be very proud :D
Another year in ponies?? Or horse time??

Thanks ASD - horse time for us. A big change, but an exciting one.

I was watching the sj - it was a testing course (deliberately I understand) and to be clear was quite an achievement in itself!

Well done!

Although excited at being reserve I am guessing that, with the dressage, MiniTD is a little disappointed at 'what might have been' ..

Thanks VRIN, we were delighted with the SJ clear - we knew they could and shuld jump clear but doing it, especially in those conditions and under such intense pressure, is quite another thing...

She does, of course, think of what ight have been, but actually is beating herself up about the pole down at Tweseldown more, which dropped her from 6th to 13th, and was probably just as important in the scheme of things...

Super report hugh congratulations, and also must confess to fighting a tear back :):)

Good luck and enjoy being part of the squad

Thanks digger2, I'm sure we'll enjoy ourselves. And, as I said, don't wory about the odd tear, we were all in bits at the end :D

Wow, wow, wow

:D :D :D

flipping fantastic, really well done T and Noffy :)

Thanks PS :)

Wonderful report, pictures, performance & news. Congratulations to all of you :). Used to admire the ponies so much in BS when was a Junior. They do put horses to shame.

Thanks SBM, they do indeed :)

Brilliant! Well done miniTD and Noffy. What an absolutely gorgeous pony, please can I have a 16.2 version?

I have to say I LOL'd at the Janet Plant wrath - I've been on the receiving end of that and I feel your pain

Thanks Alfami, but I don't think this particular model comes in 16.2 :( Although if they did you would have no chance of holding onto them on the ground when they wanted to go, it's hard enough in 14.2 ;)

Absolutely fantastic! Brilliant report and huge huge well done to T and Noffy! :D

Thanks AR :)

Fantastic report, Noffy is such a dude you can forgive the tricky dressage. It is frustrating when they lock up in this phase, but I think all this will come together soon. Hopefully they will get to FB so they can enjoy the experience, lots crossed for T and Noffy :)

Thanks NR99, we do spend nearly all our time forgiving the dressage  And he is indeed the coolest of dudes :)

Fantastic report and well done to all of team Noffy.

Thanks Alibear :)

Absolutley brilliant report, couldn't stop reading, superb pictures and really well done to T and Noffy :)

Thanks so much, Bug :)

Another one who is close to tears reading that. Massive amount of congratulations to all of you especially Noffy he is a little super star:)

I am another one who wouldn't have liked to face JP alone and I have only met her once:D

Thanks ab, he is indeed a superstar, it is hard to describe his personality, he is a complete one off  JP is ok really, her bark is worse than her bite... I think... Like I said, wrong water :D

Massive well done :) I love hearing about Noffy - such a cracking little pony, and huge congrats to your daughter. What an achievement!

Thanks JM22 :)

Huge congratulations to them. Noffy is such a dude - I love ponies full stop, they put horses to shame with their bravery and brains. Hope all continues to go well and fingers crossed for her.

Thanks so much TheoryX1. They do indeed, and the kids who get to ride them are so lucky: if you've been round 3 or 4 CCI*s before your 16th birthday, it's a long time before anything looks big again!!

Congratulations! You must be so proud!

Thanks Tillypup, I am :)

Absolutely brilliant!! Noffy is such a dude. Fingers crossed she gets to France :)

Thanks CP :)

Excellent news :D

Thanks LL :)

Absolutely fab stuf!!

Noffy looks cracking :) Fingers crossed for the near future!

Thanks nm, and huge well done on your regionals qualification, you are doing a great job on that lovely horse :)

Amazing news - you must be so proud of both of them! I got emotional reading your report and I don't know you or T and Noffy - I just think there is something incredible about the work and dedication that it takes to get to the level of PT's and to get selected is the ultimate.

Fingers crossed for a trip to France :)

Thank you so much J_L, that means a lot. You are right about the work and dedication, but of course the real stars of the show are the ponies, especially the ones that go on and on showing new kids the ropes year after year!

WOW, I was totally zoned into your report, so much I nearly cried when the phone rang for you! :D

Well done to you both, and Noffy of course. What an experience.

xxx

Thanks MM :D I did too, it was an emotional time :o

Wow! Awesome achievement - well done Team TD

Thanks Twiglet :)

That is fantastic! Well done to all of you :)

Thanks Vj :)

Brilliant report :)

Huge congratulations to T & Noffy and to the whole of Team TD.

Thanks a lot TPO :)

Wow! Fabulous report and huge congratulations. What a super team you have there.

Thanks Dollysox :)

What a pair! and what a support team surrounding them! :D Huge Congratulations, and thoroughly well deserved :D

Thanks Hattikins - although Noff thinks such a team is no more than he deserves ;)

You already know how much of a fan I am of Mini TD & the Noffmeister! Brilliant result all round for the team! And yikes re your encounter with JP - not one for the faint hearted!
Fingers crossed for them getting a trip across the water but not wishing misfortune on any other team members. X

Thanks Maloo - don't see you hereabouts very often any more - you lurking?! ;)

Bodes well for the continued success of the GB Eventing team, both juniors and seniors :)
You must so so proud and T to ride so well under pressure is brilliant. Hope she gets on the team :)

Thanks cfg, what a nice thing to say :)

Wooo woo go team TD, a massive achievement to all concerned, what a fab report I was feeling you joy elation with every moment ..well done team Noffy fingers crossed for them getting called up although not wishing misfortune on anyone else.....:D

Thanks WelshTilly (another one - mine is Welsh too :))

I think I may be a little hormonal, as I cried when reading your report well done all round I say whoop whoop :D

Thanks Jacko, sorry to make you cry but it's important to give credit where it's due, we owe it to our ponies :)

Absolutely massive well done. Superb effort & Noffy looks perfect in every photo - I hope T has another year or so in ponies they are a great team:D:D

Thanks Joss :) They are indeed a great team, and like always, they are just starting to get it together and they have to stop :(

Fabulous mammoth report! What a pingy pony Noffy is. Fantastic to win a place on the squad and fingers crossed she gets to France. Without wishing ill on anyone else, of course! Huge congratulations to the pair of them and the TD team :D

Thanks BeckyD :)

Great report! Not wanting to wish anyone else ill health but would love to see them go to France, still reserve is a pretty sweet achievement! Is this her last year?

Thanks FF5, yes, last year sadly :(

Fabulous report. Well done to all involved! Bet your daughter is absolutely thrilled.
And how lucky your daughter is to have such a supportive mum!

I love ponies!!

Thanks luckyhorseshoe, I love ponies too :) BEcause T and I are both pretty small, we plan to go on producing a few, sort of 14 hands - 15 hands, as they are such awesome fun :)

Phew!! Think that's it - thanks again, everybody, I'll keep you posted if there is any big news, otherwise it's Barbury then PC Areas and hopefully Champs :)

Just to tack on the end of an epic (and awesome) report....
Very well done all of you! Of course it would be awful for someone to drop out,but it does happen,so stock enough 'rescue remedy' just in case!!!!
Hope your final run goes to plan anyway, and you all have loads of fun with your amazing pony for the rest of this year.... :-)
(And then I will send you a SAE so you can post him to Belgium ;-))

Sounds like a blinding weekend and really well done to T and Noffy. Hope they make it to the team (although not wishing ill luck on any others... :o)

Thanks FMcC, it was a great weekend :)

Loving the "rescue remedy" euphemism - rest assured, our lorry is usually well-stocked with every variety of the stuff  I don't think I could bear to send Noffy to Belgium, I need him closer to home :o You can send offspring to us, if you like, PTs are much better here than on the continent anyway :D

Over the trakhener

If you do get to go (fingers crossed) I might see you there-my niece is going! :)
