No, actually I think you have missed the point.

The people filming hunts claim to be animal lovers. They claim that hunters are cruel and evil. You yourself have used such language on this forum.

We don't know what efforts the hunt had made to stop the hounds, and we don't know when the film was taken, so there is no way to know whether they were rioting or what. I can't make a judgement on what I can't see.

What we do know, what I do see, is that people, who claim to be animal lovers, who call other people cruel and disgusting and all sorts of names, sat by and watched this happen.

I have pro and anti friends, and I will tell you something - not a one of them would have sat by and done nothing. I respect the views of such people whichever side of the fence they sit on.

The people who sat on their bums and watched this happen and made no effort to stop it are beyond contempt for all animal lovers - no matter where they stand on this debate. They revolt me.
 
Oh get away with you. They filmed the hound at the side of the road and then in a split second it ran out into the road. WTF would you have had them do???! Next minute all the hounds follow across. They shouldnt be anywhere near moving traffic and if they are not under full control they shouldnt be out at all.

Earlier you have hunters riding into traffic, up a road hounds running wild. Who the heck do you think you are that you have some god given right to do exactly as you please wherever and however you like because you are hunters?! You are a danger to yourselves, your animals, our wildlife and the general public!
 
Yeah, they just happened to be sitting there pulled over at just the right spot... I'm sorry, but I think they knew damn well the hounds were coming. They aren't exactly quiet on the scent now are they?

Oh and BTW - I don't hunt.

I am glad you dont hunt and apologise for being mistaken. For my own part I am not a sab and dont want to see any animals harmed. I am just very, very anti and dont ever want to see hunting with packs of hounds return.
 
Well, not everyone who supports hunting charges about the countryside on a horse (in my case due to a lack of horse, and guts). I followed on foot a couple of times about 15 years ago so I have seen it happen for myself, I have read and watched the info put out by both sides, and I have made an informed decision.

I can agree to disagree with people, but I can't respect people whose actions don't match their words.
 
I'm with Spudlet. As a bit of a pain in the backside when it comes to making my own views known, I have the greatest of respect for people who are willing to stand up and let their views be known, and even dilligently attend hunt meets all season to ensure they're not forgotton.

However.

People who bite, spit, kick, assault police officers, children, women, animals, innocent bystanders, farmers, livestock and anything else to hand should be used as bait until the repeal.

And you want us to take seriously a law devised by these people?

I really don't care enough to track down youtube, and trawl through search looking for it myself.

If you're trying to educate/enlighten/advertise blooming well link the video or shut the fluff up.

Is this the real issue? or is it animal welfare?

Sorry i meant to focus on the above. is it the 'crossing of land' or 'animal welfare' as they are quite separate issues.

Animal welfare, crossing land without permission, hunting on land were no permission has been granted, blocking roads etc etc are each part of the overall reason why we in the countryside are against hunting with dogs. It is not just one reason and it isnt just about foxes. Hare coursing, stag hunting are even more distastefull.
