Dones anyone use any of these? What are your recommendations?
I have a 12 x 12 stable with no rubber mats but i do like my bed to air daily As usually on straw but it’s so hard to get at the moment so looking into other options.
I do also like nice banks!

I use Easy pack Miscanthus for one and Aubiose for the other. But this is over rubber matting.
It works for me as I semi deep litter in winter, only taking out the wet when it rises.
In summer they have a light bed of it as are not in for long.
I tend not to have banks though. Mainly as it's a waste of space and both are mares, so saving and possible pee in the back bank.

I use hemp (I can't get auboise but vaguely similar) & find it works fairly well. I tend to take the wet out once a week & put a new bag in at the same time & just take the poo out & sweep the bed back daily. Doesn't smell anywhere near as much as straw

I found miscanthus *really* dusty...as in coughing up a lung mucking it out. It might just have been that particular brand but it was awful.

I was a huge Nedz pro fan but the bales in my last pallet all had foreign objects culminating in a really sharp and rusty piece of wire that could have done serious damage.

Currently using chopped rape straw from supplier that @spacefaer recommended.

I had a sample bale of Unibed (chopped rape straw) and it was lovely. Sadly I am too far away to make the transport reasonable but highly recommend contacting them if you are in england.

I like the look of Bliss bedding too. I spoke to the reps at Blair who weren't very helpful at all regarding availability or price and told me to investigate it myself and contact wholesale distributor. So yeah, looks a great product but I'm not putting that much effort into giving anyone my money. However I believe that there are a lot more stockists in England so that might be another option

I used to use the equinola it was brilliant very absorbent and wet went to the bottom so top stayed dry, but I only took the wet out once or twice a week so wouldn’t know what it was like of being thrown up each day sorry.

I’ve also used aubiose again as a semi deep litter and it was ok but I preferred the equinola tbh, I think it would be too expensive to take the wet out every day though.

I loved Aubiose for a mucky horse I had, also liked Nedz but fat, greedy one used to trough it. Much prefer chopped straws to muck out than shavings though.

I have used aubiose, but too expensive now.

Currently use Equinola, very happy with it.

Also ordered from spacefaer’s supplier - product is fine but the bales turned out to weigh 14 kg, which meant that including delivery charges to my area equinola 20kg bales was a cheaper option.

Would like to try unibed but they would only ship four full pallets as a minimum order.

I use Aquamax as the base and Aubiouse on top.
12 x 12 stable, no rubber matting as I hate them, I deep litter and take the wet out once a week.
I use 1 bale of Aubiouse a week and 1 bag of Aquamax every other week.
Works well for us and much cheaper than using shavings, which I also hate.
