I have looked everywhere for a second hand Falcon Adler VSD, wide fit in black but cant find one. They always seem to be in brown. I cant afford to start replacing bridles etc too. Would it be a big no-no to have a black bridle with a brown saddle?

For the last year my pony has had brown bridle and black saddle until a lovely hho'er let me try her brown one out, now we are matching.
It never bothered me

I think it would only really matter if you were wanting to do showing. Other than that, if you could live with it (and save up or ask Santa for a new bridle!

I have a tan saddle and a havana bridle- tan bridle would be far too much on my dark bay mare!!

I use a £20 cheap bridle rather than a nice english leather one just so the colour matches

That is so much like me...... How sad are we????

Brown is much more correct, but unless you are showing it really doesn't matter. Probably no one would notice outside the show ring.

I'd get the brown saddle and when you are able buy a brown bridle to match for "best".

Bodey has been wearing a brown bridle and black saddle for the quite awhile, but I have just won a Black Amerigo bridle, so will have matching tack, well in colour anyway, yeah! But no one noticed my tack wasn’t the same colour.

I have a brown bridle and black saddle because we couldn't get a nice brown secondhand saddle in the timeframe we needed it. I don't think it matters at all...no one seems to notice. I showjump, dressage and XC.

I've got a black bridle & a dark brown saddle which looks fine, I never notice if other people have matching tack so assume they've don't notice mine either.
I'm sure they've got better things to do then notice if my tack's matching!

As long as you are not showing who gives a damn? A saddle is a saddle, a bridle is a bridle. As long as they fit that's the main thing.
