How do you guys upload videos? I consider myself reasonably good with technology but videos and this forum just dont seem to play ball!

Anyway! I thought it time for a Miss Collie update. Flyball is going so so well! I'm really hopeful for a debut in starters mid July.

Here is a little snippet of our adventures so far. From her first show as a spectator August BH 2019. To a cheeky first ever run at a fun event in September that year. To her naughty side when I was full of despair once she settled and her true chasey personality came out and we spent all session for weeks playing keep away or trying various methods to de-sensitise her and keep her calm in December '19
To today's session! We got our first ever time 4.3 without pushing! So pleased!
Hopefully we can now start to play a bit with moving her around in the team and put a dog in the other lanes
She is the last collie running in the last few clips and features a cameo appearance by my brother who adores her!

She looks fab! Hopefully see her in the lanes soon! We are having some recession issues with Dobby at training ?‍♀️ but hoping Ginny can make her debut this year ?

I decided to take the plunge and enter her in a comp as a 5th dog after she managed to have a session with dog doing restrained recall in other lane.
7 weeks, plenty of time to nail it. I naively thought.
Then I realised I'd miss a week as I was going to see friends. And then learnt that training is postponed for a different week as a few people are away.
THEN the little cow at the grand age of two years and 4 months has finally, finally come into season.
She's had 18 months practically of nothing and no classes but now she's doing well and life is almost normal she's decided it's the perfect time!
2 training sessions, will deffo not be enough! But she needs ring experience so hopefully there will be an NFC team or an empty lane situation so she can have a run then as a training situation.
Thrown my whole summer plans into disarray as was hoping to get her running well and confidently outdoor before we do the indoor season (if it goes ahead!) But she'll be on sidelines for another month when she gets spayed and miss the few we have got booked in

Sigh. Should have predicted it really! Bloody dog!

I wonder if the coming into season is linked to her settling and maturing? You could have her spayed in October? That would presumably give you the outdoor season. I’m very glad she is doing well, you deserve it!

I thought it had to be 3 months after which would make it August? Mid October would deffo be better though!
I hear things about the effect neutering has on male dogs but not so much on bitches. Another reason for waiting for so long was to see if it would help with her behaviours.

She has been doing well but today had a snap at my brother, first time she's ever gone for him, and her first real tantrum this year. I think hormones and heat are definitely not mixing well!
