Miss_C anyone know how she is?

I've beckoned her over :)

She has indeed! This was a lovely surprise tbh.

I got back on a horse less than 2 months after the accident - trendybraincell's gorgeous Shadow. Genie came home not long after that and we started slowly bringing her back into work - she did a suspensory in May last year. It's been a long road and I'm not convinced she'll be back out competing again but time will tell.

Bug (the horse that threw me) was found to have severe arthritis in her spine, fortunately before I sold her, and so she was given a week in the field and then sadly put to sleep. It helped me in a way, as it explained what she did and I was able to stop blaming my riding or wondering why she tried to kill me.

Long term I still don't know my prognosis. There's only about 100 incidents of my particular hip injury on record. Basically it will either be ok long term or it won't. I'll know if it's not as apparently I'll be in a hell of a lot of pain, and they will simply do a hip replacement. I'd like to wait as long as possible though - I'm only in my early 30s!

Thank you for thinking of us. <3

Good to know you are doing well and that Genie is at least back in some work. It's pretty amazing that you're back in the saddle so soon! I hope the healing continues for you both :)
