I was dissapointed to note that the Air Ambulance prog tonight on tv where the girl had a horse accident and got it's hoof in the middle of her chest causing 3 broken ribs failed to mention she wasn't wearing a body protector which I'm sure would have helped enormously if she had been, not even a mention of one or even getting one after a lucky escape.
 
If they don't mention safety wear for other sports, why should they specifically mention those for horse sports? Would that be your thinking Snowhawk? Cos I agree.
 
Well perhaps they should have mentioned it for all sports then, if people dont take their own safety seriously why should anyone else, we have a pillock in our area who rides on the road with no hat, no viz gear in the dusk on a brown horse with dark clothes against a dark background and I have seen her with totally slack reins using her mobile, if she has an accident and is severely injured and the horse is put down should we mention anything about safety or just mop her up off the road, perhaps not, nobody mentioned about wearing something bright to the pedestrian or cyclist so lets not bother, what a strange way of veiwing things.
