missing blonde, chihuahua bitch, tallulah, wearing a pink collar with owners number on it. she was last seen by a neighbour in twinstead on the wick, wickford, essex on 24th aug at approx 4pm. Owner having work done on their house & she must have got out! There was also a dark haired lady in a silver mondeo type car with team gb wing mirrors asking if anyone had lost a dog fitting her description.. Please please contact me if u have any info.. This is a family, much loved pet, shes 10 yrs old & owner has had her since she was a puppy..Thanks

It's now thought that dark haired lady is a delivery driver & that she said she would call number on collar so she may have tallulah.. Please spread the word!!

Have you tried the surrounding councils dog warden's - Southend, Castle Point, Basildon, Chelmsford? She might have been handed in to one of those? And vets in a 10 mile radius (I know there are hundreds!)

It could be that the number on the tag is unclear and being a Bank Holiday the lady is having trouble finding anyone official to take the dog in.

Hope Tallulah is found soon.

The car that was spotted is now thought to be a silver Astra & the lady said to a neighbour that she would take the dog home & call the number on the collar but no news as of yet.

I know you say vets, dog wardens etc have been notified, but are her details on Dog Lost, they seem to get really good results and have lots of people who are willing to help with posters etc. I hope she turns up really soon.

Try dropping leaflets through all doors on the street or knock on doors to see if anyone had a parcel delivered. Couriers keep records of contract drivers.

Sorry but straying off tangent is a good way of bumping a thread to keep it near the top.

As the Dog wardens are hopefully back at work today perhaps some progress can be made but please pursue the delivery companies too.
Remember that dog wardens in even neighbouring councils might not communicate with each other let alone those further afield. You have to push to get through and you have to ask about reported dogs as well as dogs the wardens have had their hands on.

Don't forget to get her flagged by the microchip company too.

Keep on at the council kennels. We live in Aylesbury vale but right on the border of Milton keynes. Two of ours got out last year, Aylesbury didn't have them and MK said they wouldn't of picked them up as not their area. It turns out they had picked them up and the kennels denied having them even though I'd rang them the night before at 6pm and again the next morning. Someone in the village had found them and left their details in the village shop which was shut by the time I got home the day they went missing.

We reported it to Petlog and when I went to collect them I asked why they hadn't been scanned and they replied "oh they have, we had hell of a job finding his" They also said that Petlog didn't have to notify us wtf ?
One of them we had just rehomed so the chip was still in the previous owners name and address and yet this wasn't queried and I was relieved of £140.

I can't remember being so angry and it took a lot for me not to explode.

So please do keep on and make a bloody nuisance of yourself.

Thanks for the advise.. Posters are now going up everywhere and we've had someone see a car exactly fitting the description outside a post office in Basildon. That is being looked into now.
