I purchased new pony (lovely older grey Connie) in Feb.

Stupidly I sent his passport to the CPBS to update. I sent it recorded delivery but when I followed up, was told it never arrived. My lovely local post office managed to track it down to and lo and behold, it had arrived mid March.

I have spoken to them again and they are now stating that it did arrive and was sent back. However, it didn’t get to me and was sent regular post (my fault, I didn’t realise there were different postage options).

Anyway, I have now paid for a replacement at €200 only to be told they will not process it until the post office has investigated their loss which could take three months. There after it’s another 6-8 weeks for the vets to fill in the details etc.

This doesn’t sound right. As it stands, my pony can’t even leave the yard to go to the vet! Has anyone else had similar experience where the Pony society has withheld duplication, and taken payment.

I’m lost now. He’s a beautiful old chap who was bought for my daughter to build confidence on. She’s had an awful run of bad luck and now this. We had so many fun plans this summer - pub rides and local shows. Never mind the fact I’ve lost almost £250 which the CPBS are keeping hold of for months, we can’t do anything this season.
