Missing mane - please help!

Our LR SP had to wear an ill fitting rug for two nights whilst her rug was being mended... the result is about 6 inches of mane pretty much totally rubbed out. I feel sick!

Please please does anyone have any ideas to encourage mane growth? During the season she normally has to have her mane pulled 3 or 4 times anyway so maybe she's a quick grower?

Our first show of the new season is 14th February, am I going to have anything back by then?! She has literally wisps left and I loathe the idea of using false plaits.

I've used it with success over the summer on a mane almost totally rubbed off by a snuggyhood - but I honestly don't think you'll get the results you're looking for by February.

Nothing else to recommend though, so good luck!

I used it a rubbed out mane, and while I'm not convinced that the hair grew fast, it was in better condition.
Incidedentally, I put megatek on star's feet in the summer when they looked very dry - it soaked in brilliantly, the feet looked much better, very quickly.

thanks hairymolly, My old boy wears a sweetitch rug most of the year now and his mane never grows! I might try it thanks

I tried this Megatek and also Shapleys Original M-T-G and neither worked on my boys rubbed mane but hes an arab and has very fine hair

Does anyone know of any supplements that help mane growth? I know biotin helps hoof growth but my boy wont eat that as it smells lol
