Missing my boy has made me start looking at ads..oh dear!

My boy's been on loan for a year now and won't be back for another 2 years, whilst I'm away at uni Just really missing him atm, miss riding and just wish I could take him out on a lovely hack right now. Two years seems ages away, and when I get him back I want to start slowing things down with him, he'll be 15yo- so not old but atm he's just a jumping machine so I want him to be more of a hack and the odd showing class (partly because I no longer like jumping !) So in my self pity about being horseless I began looking at adverts, a very bad mistake because now I've fallen in love(luckily she's already been taken, but still)

Does your loaner not allow you the odd ride? I always did when I loaned, owner visited when local and hacked if they felt like it.

My loaner is a friend of mine from an old yard, she's always had loan horses and I know she looks after them brilliantly. I live close by but try not to interfere because I can drive past the yard and see my boy when I want to check he's well. But I want her to think of him as 'hers' and not think of me as the annoying owner who butts in all of the time, when I can keep an eye on him from a distance. I would love to ride him, may give her a ring tomorrow to see whether something could be arranged mainly I just want to give him a big cuddle.
