missing my dog

Just having one of those moments where i really miss my dog, i haven't seen her in 3 months due to a nasty split from the ex (wont go into to details but basically he took it upon himself to deal with her and gave her to his ex to live with his kids!!!) he now ignores my messages and has gone back on his word saying i can see her etc.
I know it's a long shot but how does it work with dog ownership? pretty much reduces me to tears thinking about the situation just dont know what i can do about it though (besides dognap her!)

Unless you can prove ownership ie receipt for purchase of the dog I dont in all honesty think you can claim back the dog.

Is there any way you could contact the girlfriend and explain the situation or even offer to buy back the dog, if you do buy it back make sure you get a receipt.

Its a horrible situation to be in and you have my sympathy for this distressing situation.

Sorry to hear that
My ex did the same although the dog was bought as a pup for him so there was nothing I could do. He took her when we split and re-homed her right away
I really hope there's a way for you to get your dog back
