I felt like that when my last horse became lame and had to retire. I just enjoyed looking after him .
When I eventually lost him , after not riding for 2 years , I missed it so much I bought another horse. I'd retired by now so actually had time. For the last 7 years I've thoroughly enjoyed my time with Morris , a super ride. However, I now have a problem with my hip and riding is so painful .After 3 weeks of not riding ( having been told to rest it) I'm missing it terribly .Morris is enjoying being looked after, which is the important bit,
bur I'm not ready to give up yet .

Sorry to hear about your hip pain. Are you feeling a bit better after your break? Hope your feeling fit to ride Morris very soon.

I hope you can get more comfortable and back in the saddle soon.
I have been missing riding too, over the last few years I had a number of health issues that stopped me, and now I am waiting to have my back sorted before I can try again. xx

I am recovering from Hip surgery. Now 3 months and getting desperate to try the new hip out. Will be arranging a 'lesson' at a local RS so I can test it in a controlled environment before I even think about riding my youngster who is currently away from home.
