Missing/Stolen Great Dane

Hi guys
Please please keep an eye out for my great dane bitch Evie, she is black/brown and white (mostly white). Went missing today in East Sussex (Beckley village), quite suspicious circumstances. I have been looking for her all day, now waiting up in the hope she might just walk in the door!

What a nightmare for you. Presume you have contacted police, dog warden etc. You should get her details on Dog Lost as soon as possible, if she has been stolen you need to get as much publicity as possible. See if your local radio station will broadcast an appeal, also local papers, and flood the area with posters with her picture. A dane is pretty distinctive so hopefully someone will recognise her.

You must be worried sick - hope she's home safe soon - suggest contacting local dog warden and even vets in the area - good luck

Thank you, no sign of her, have left my details with the local vet and dog warden, nothing yet. There is a local animal rescue which I will call tomorrow when they open but don't think I will be able to sleep tonight not knowing where she is!

You may wish to contact not only your own dog warden but also those in surrounding areas as it is not unheard of for a finder to drive home , ie out of your area, and then hand in the dog.

Hello all
After searching all night and not a sign, she just walked into the kitchen this morning, ate the terrier's breakfast and fell asleep by the Aga!!!!

I'm so happy to have her back! I wonder if someone had attempted to take her but given up and then she got lost (she can't see in the dark). She has been asleep all day by the Aga and refuses to move! x

Oh thank heavens, I lost my younger GD the other day, turned out she was just at the neighbours in their pool (it is hot here) (they only come weekends so that was a PHEW) but I was panicking. So glad she is home.
