Well then, would you kindly show me a CCI** in this country around that time?? I'd have to wait for Blair/Hartpury in the middle of Aug (and my situation is such that i can't wait that long).. but besides that, before you even think of fuel to get to say Blair (where i'd rather run, as wouldn't run on ground at H) entry fee pluss stabling will come to £400+ where as entry fee plus stabling in Holland comes to £160, plus the travel will be shared between 5 people, therefore it's cheaper to go to and compete in Holland, than it is for the entry fee for say Blair alone (before i've driven from one end of the country to the other)...

Thanks everyone, it is just a bit of fun, and while i'll still look into it, it's my wallet that'll end up stoping me go rather than my head haha.

MdeM your reasons for going to Holland do not have to be justified.

Equally, money is the factor of most things, and if eventrider4321 knew anything, they would realise eventing abroad isnt as expensive as competing over here.

I do know MdeM and she def isnt one to flaunt her achievements or plans, far from it! she is however, completely bonkers and thinks there are 36 hours in a day

go for it!! I did a mad couple of days when I got my neddy, flew to jersey to try him, came back drove to manchester which was 6 hour journey for ex hub to audition for some singing program...

Or the time that a local berks show was cancelled, the exhaust on the lorry was bust, but we tied it with a coathanger and baler twine and then promptly drove to Epsom for a show there lol!!

Go for it will be funnnnnn!
 
you really are MAD!! think if it was me i would try and get back on the fri night even if it is later on so you have got a bit of room for delays! when i was in germay i trotted up at 7.30/8 ish and went XC at 10 and i was the 2nd section out i think!!

But really i would just try and stay and do the eventing, as you never no they could change the dressage to the fri and you lose ur flight money!!

Do you find though that you qualify for things when you least expect it, but when you bust a gut you get nowhere???!!! Will you get your travel and entry money back from this event if you don't qualify??
