Figured it was time for a Missy update, now that she's 5 months old today!

All going very well, have finally settled on a food she'll consistently eat after being very meh about her meals. We've settled on Akela 80:20 Puppy Chicken kibble mixed with Akela 70:30 Wet food (Chicken & Goose, Duck & Turkey and sometimes the Original Meat & Fish). Red meat is out, as it gives her awful water pistol diarrhoea, but she can tolerate lambskins, camel scalps and the like for chews. Fish is out purely because she's taken against the stuff, the most I can convince her to eat is in the Meat & Fish wet food, and to be honest I only feed that to keep her enthusiasm for the bird based tins. Safe to say she's a typical fussy Tibbie!

She's turned into a complete cuddlebug, which is absolutely fine by me! Recent sleep regression when going to bed, but we're working through that slowly. Toilet training is pretty much there now *touch wood*. Loves coming up the yard with me and going for walks in the fields, it's her off leash time as there's no worries about someone luring her away and pinching her at the yard. Comes with me to all the places dogs are allowed, and loves charming the employees of all the local feed stores and garden centres.

She's looking hilariously gummy at the moment, as she has lost all her lower front teeth and one lower canine. Her molars and premolars are coming in lovely though, as are her upper front incisors.

She can still be a right little madam when the mood takes her, but overall she's just a little joy to have in our lives! :D
(Remind me of that when the teenage phase hits.....)

Cute pup..
At five months you can switch to adult kibble in a small breed...puppy food is sometimes too rich long term..high in fats ,proteins etc.

Diet? What about rabbit? Even boiled rabbit plus a bland kibble.

I’d ditch the lamb skin chew sticks..pigs ears ,etc can also cause intestinal issues in a small breed.

Another thing ...at five months I always get a stool check for parasites..I usually worm my pup at this age( drontal)...it’s very common for a 5 m to have residual worm eggs ..especially ascaris,in the gut that the puppy worming hasn’t always eradicated.( they get this via the placenta when in the womb)...

Thank you for the advice, but all is in hand now concerning diet and she has always been on a regular, age appropriate worming routine. As for the chews, whilst I avoid rawhide and greasy pigs ears, I have no qualms giving her the high quality chews I do, as she doesn't actually eat them, just slobbers on the ends of them.
I know you probably meant well, but your post makes quite a few assumptions about both Missy and myself. I'm by no means wet behind the ears when it comes to dogs and puppies, as well as this breed.

As for everyone else, thank you for the compliments, she is disgustingly cute as I usually describe it, especially when she puts her little paws together and 'begs', she figured out quite quickly that doing that gets her lots of attention and adoration when we're out and about :D

It was your own description of “ pistol diarrhea”and she “ tolerates” certain chews that brought my response..yes I was trying to offer helpful advice.

Fromyour description, your small breed pup is not stable on her diet..poultry ( and you mention four types of poultry)is not the best for sensitive young pups.

Finally... of course one assumes..this is a message board..we exchange advice, comments and grow to know each other.

Ps. Get her stool worm checked at the very least. If you bring her to the yard, she’s likely to eat poop.

I had a big reply typed out, but I realized I was just JADEing. So I'll just say for you to not worry, the dog is doing great on her diet, has fantastic stools (that make me, as an IBS sufferer, jealous), and is appropriately treated for worms and parasites monthly due to her love for herbivore poo.
