Misty morning hacks,and off road Bikers!

Went out early (for us) this morning, Hi-vized up because of the mist and set off for the Common. Horses were a bit on their toes in the mist seeing things where there was nothing and not seeing things that were there.
Had a nice walk with some trot (only 2nd time on new boy) and then decided to take a different route along a B.O.A.T.
After a few minutes heard the sound of dirt bikes behind us. Quickly turned Teddy to face them (so did wifey on Magic) and stood and waited! Bikes came over the crest, stopped and then passed slowly and as far away from us as they could. Thanking us and us thanking them, so impressed with their behavior.
We then turned for home and had an over enthusiastic canter up to the ridge before a quiet walk home.
All in all a great morning!

i also went out early and luckily i only have a 5 min hack on a village road before i hit the common but i met 5 other riders and only 2 of those had hi viz on, i know its a personal choice but i didnt see them only heard them so what chance do car drivers have?
as for the dirt bikes my husband and his friends have one and they hit the byways now and again and will always stop or turn their engine off for horses, also the bike clubs have rules regarding meeting horses such as stopping and turning off the engine, but hes sometimes a little peed off that some riders dont bother to thank them,

Must say i was soooo pleased with horses today! And bikers!And we finally found a ford,but just couldn't make horses go into water. Oh well,we will one day! Teddy had his anti mite jab,and his legs so much better now Cant wait for next weekend now!
