I was reading in the commercial vehicle industry press about the growth in popularity of Mitsubishi Fuso Canters over recent years. According to the report, it's the fourth best selling 7.5t lorry (behind DAF, Iveco, Isuzu) in the UK.
I understand that, for various technical reasons, Canter chassis are lighter than most in the segment and they can carry about 500kg more than an equivalent DAF or Iveco, and nearly a tonne more than a Merc or MAN.
Given this significant advantage in payload - a significant issue for horseboxes - I wondered if anyone had started to convert a Canter for horseboxes.
Furthemore, does anyone have any experience of using a Mitsubishi Canter horsebox - good or bad?
It would be interesting to know how good (or bad) they are.
Thanks
