anyone got one? need car for towing and general horse stuff to avoid decent car getting trashed... hubbie has a transit van to sell, so with proceeds could get small 4x4 - seen these towing small boxes, if anyone has one or can recomend anything similar/cheap would appreciate it....cheers!

Yes my brother has and it costs him a fortune on diesel!!!!!!! He has just bought a new small van and only uses the pajero if he really needs to.

P.s I have his old transit (R reg) that I use for towing its fab, my advice keep the transit with the price of fuel it sooo much cheaper!!!!

I've had 4 Nissan Terrano and I found them very economical and a fantastic tow car - very reliable as well

have got one that has been brill for towing ,but have now got a challenger ,which OH has stated must be cleaned every week !!! will be selling other soon pm if interested

i had one but it cost to much to run as it was my only car for work and towing. cost me £550 per month i was getting no more than 25mpg. i had a 2.8td LWB

I've got one, I've had it about a month and I love it. Its an old one, 1992 SWB but it tows brilliantly. I only use it to tow-I have another car to use as a run around as I wouldn't want to drive around all the time in it-it would cost a fortune.

We had one, cost a fortune in diesel but towed beautifully. I changed it for a 7.5 ton lorry which I think is slightly better on diesel - certainly no worse and I have living and loads more space and much easier to drive!

As others have said fantastic cars, I have an L reg full service history, in Navy, Air con ect for sale if your interested only as my OH got over his midlife crisis and swapped his sports car for a jeep, so I know have a small car. (by far the most reliable 4 x 4 we have had)

Absolutely fantastic 4x4's! reliable, comfy, indestructible, we had a 2.8 TD SWB and loved it.

However you may need to re-mortgage your house to run it lol! but if its just for towing and going to shows etc at weekends...you can't beat em!
