has anybody done it? and was it worth it? I'm mulling over the idea of going but it's a long way from me so I don't want to bother if it's rubbish

And if you have done it - how much fittening work did you do with your horse before you went, and how tired were they after xc day????

Thanks
Nicola

If you are in SW - Stockland Lovell does an excellent 2 day event. Tiverton PC also run a very good one.

It's everything but rubbish! I absolutely adore it and only reason didn't do it last year (or will be this year) was Pony only has 3 good legs! Do a search on the forum, there are quite a few posts about it and all very positive. Here's a link to a thread I answered earlier this year.MK3DE Info

I can only say how much I enjoyed it but see what others think!

DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!!

I did it last year, and it is the most fantastic event!! i would do it again in a heartbeat if only i didnt have to put my horse out on loan this year

Absolutely excellent! Did it about 4 years ago.

Got my girl super fit, so she wasn't tired after any of the phases, but I was!!! After I'd walked the XC and roads and tracks twice I was knackered!!

Definately do it!

I can't remember exactly, but I think when I did it: the Novice was 2ft 6- 2ft 9"; Intermediate 3ft - 3ft 3" and
Open 3ft 6".

I did the Intermediate and the XC was bigger than I'd expected and at that point the biggest XC we'd done. I was terrified, but it rode well and we went clear.

This was the first and only 3DE I've ever done, and I was so nervous before and during, that by the end of the weekend I was exhausted and could've slept for a week afterwards!

Looking back though, thought it was a fantastic weekend, very well run and the MK team really pulled out all the stops to make you feel like you were at Badminton!
