Only a week away, thought we'd better get orgainising.
So.....
1) Who is comming?
2) What level is horse / rider at?
3) Do you need / want a lead horse?

As there could be quite a number of us it might be necessary to split in to smaller groups. To avoid the hassle when we get there I figure we should sort this out prior to saturday, hence questions 2 & 3.
I'm happy to offer Ed's services as a lead horse. Any one else comming who wouldn't mind being lead horse in case we have more than 1 group that needs a lead?
If you want to be in a group with a particular person then please say so in reponse.

I know this all sounds a bit formal but I just want to avoid total confusion on the day.

I'm happy to arrange groups (based on rider / horse level) nd book with MK if peeps want me to.

Thanks for making this post! A great idea to get everything/everyone organised!

I am still planning to bring Joe along, it will be our first time x/c schooling so if i can be in a group with a lead that would be fab. I hope to be able to jump up to about 3ft, and think Joe will be ok with most things - we have tackled a little ditch, logs and post and rail out hacking!

Be nice if we don't meet too early - sunday is the only day i don't have to get up at 4 am

PS...just a thought, major assumption on my part

Do peeps want me to organise or would you all prefer to just turn up and have a general free for all?

Looks like it could be a quiet session from the response so far.
Still, saves a lot of organising

Where have all the peeps who wanted to come and play disappeared to?

Ground does dry up quickly at MK.
I suggest we plan to go then I will do a course walk on saturday and report back on conditions.
How does that sound?

You really are great!!
I will be at MKEC on the sat. anyway, as we are doing the Nixon dressage champs.

Doesn't seem to be much interest though - not many replies to this post

Guess it will be a small but select group

Let me know what time you are competing. Will try and fit course inspection in to schedule of having Ed's saddle fitted and taking OH to training session.

Hi 4F
Sorry for not replying sooner - I'm very concerned about the ground - our fields look like swamps at the moment. Can I take you up on your offer of having a look on Sat and reporting back for us? Really want to come but my mare is very green and I don't want to affect her confidence on slippy or deep ground.
Shall we reconvene so to speak later in the week?

Can I suggest you all PM me your mobile numbers. That way I can do a ring round on saturday after checking the course.
Oh and can you include your real name.

Looking at the forecast up to sunday I reckon the course will be fine. Fields around here have dried up significantly in just one day of sunshine. Very little rain forecast between now and sunday.

Me too - see you there.

I will be on Merry - my little racehorse. Very green but as game as anything (this will be his second XC schooling session).

He is pretty self-sufficient but might need a lead over the ditches and into the water.

Can I suggest we meet around 1.30 for a 2pm start?
How does that fit with everyone?

Going to take Ed over there tomorrow (thursday) for a little pipe opener just to get the tickle out of his feet. Course is open atm.

Still deliberating 4F - is you offer of a 'ground report' still open for tomorrow? Have checked the weather report - bright sunshine today, tomorrow and Sunday - it could just do the trick!
