Mobile application for pet management

Hi everyone! I am Lisanne and I am currently busy with my graduation assignment and I was wondering if you guys could help me. I am currently investigating the need for a management mobile application for all pets. This mobile application is already available in the Netherlands named Anymal and we are currently investigating whether the need for the app is also international.

Hi Lisanne

When asking people 'on a scale of 1 to 10, how important is z' you need to say which end is which on the scale and also possibly give some referential points. I might assume the concern is so important to me I will give up my home and job to defend it if necessary and score a 10, while another may score it a 10 but not miss their weekly favourite tv programme.

I know apps like this have been tried before. I've never considered them. I have a calendar on my phone and on my wall.

They weren't good enough to replace what I already have so they became an additional burden and not a benefit.

I have a calendar near to my door with key dates highlighted which is a constant, gentle, non interruptive reminder, while the calendar on my phone has any further details but I don't generally need it.

An app on my phone needs me to feed it with information, then it interrupts me with reminders when it chooses, not when I choose. And if a friend calls and asks if I want to do something on a particular day I'd want to check for anything I have planned for that date, not just pet related activities... if I was using your app, I now need to check two places; the calendar and the app. (or I could not bother with an app and just keep using a calendar)

I googled it, it isnt what you hope. You can't use it to remotely change your horses rug because the weather changed, or remotely exercise over poles... or even remotely feed your cat or open the door for it.

It's just a record of vet / farrier / other appointments and memorable dates such as birthdays and reminders etc.

Are you talking about our app or in general? Anymal is an app to manage all the administration of your pets in one app, so you have all information together. Including, a timeline, in which you can add events. However, I am currently only investigating whether there is a need for this app in other countries since in the Netherlands the app is already populair.
