Hi
I’m moving to a DIY yard where I will be renting 2 fields (for summer then winter). Is there such a thing as a mobile field shelter (for a small horse and pony) that’s easily movable and doesn’t cost a fortune (as in hundreds rather than thousands)? I’d need to check the yard allows this but wondering if this actually exists. Thanks in advance

It’s worth every penny for metal skids if you are going to have to move them & they help stop them twisting so make it easier to dismantle later - my Isuzu trooper just easily towed a 24x12 that hadn’t moved for 11 years! A once round with a shovel to clear the skids and off we went

? you planners and the ?horse hating moron who stirs up trouble as he can’t cope with us refusing to sell our land to him (for next to nothing)

I know I didn’t actually have to move it but I was making a point and it was a perfect excuse to move it even further into blocking his view ? Soz mate, council made me move it ?

Good on you! We have been in a similar position, it gets wearing but we are still here and they are not.

Yes and moveable to move from summer field to winter field
I recently bought one on skids and have already moved it around the field. It’s a pretty sturdy one and it’s nailed together so it wouldn’t be easy to dismantle it. At the moment wood is very expensive and in short supply so perhaps see if you can find something that‘s not made out of wood? I’m sure there was a thread recently about using polytunnels or something similar.

Thank you. A quick google bought some plastic/tarp type ones, I wonder if they are any good for a few winters
