I have been trying to find a mobile mechanic to service my trailer without success. I would be prepared to pay extra considering the time and fuel it would save me.

My brother is a self employed car mechanic. I suggested to him that it might be something he might consider.

So how much do you pay to have your trailer serviced, and do you know what it involves?

I am particularly interested in Ifor Williams as I have one that needs a service.

Good idea, it was a nightmare taking mine to the mechanic when the brakes were sticking on

I *think* I paid about £120 for a IW dealer service and would pay about the same for a non IW dealer if he came to me.

Costs £80 at our ifor dealer

For that they take the brakes apart and go through a checklist which includes taking up the rubber matting to examine the floor.

My dad services them. He is a mobile car mechanic. Charges for labour (his usual set price per hour) then parts so depends what work needs to be done / parts needed. He does everyones at the farm, plus farm machinery etc etc!!!
