Has anyone done this (or a Mock Hunt in another location) at Valley Farm? Missed the hound exercise this year, and would like to take the Fat Poneh out this season, but not completely blow his mind or get beached on jumps (he's not built for jumping bless him).

Is it good? Any tips?

I've never been but have seen the videos posted by a friend...personally i think it looks a little wild at times not my cup of tea and I hunt lol everyone seems very friendly etc but always looks like a bit of a free for all - don't know if that really helps at all!

if your talking about the valley farm i'm thinking of it is a little wild because i use to live just down the road from there and a couple of years ago i was hacking my pony out by myself and i was walking through a stubble field because i like to teach my horse manners that every time it goes on stubble it doesn't mean lets go flat out, and then i heard the loudest rumble, the sort from a film, and i turn around and the lot of them are coming straight up behind me, no signs of stopping and no sign of a mock master as they were all just going to the middle of the field and it was close the end of a field which meant a road, luckily i had been teaching my horse manners not to go off on his own accord and he kept calm enough so i didn't end on the road with them but many of the other younger riders did, i was about 14 at the time and it really got to me as i go hunting quite a bit, and we were always taught the rules, one stays behind the huntt master, always stay the edge of the field, and hunting is mostly only a good working uphill canter, i really did feel for the horses, it just needed some order really, and maybe when they see other horses they should stop because if i had been on a sharp horse i may not have been so lucky, but even still if i wasn't there they would have certainly had more ending up on the road(i may add it is just a quiet road but there are stil those lunatic drivers lurking around every winding corner)
