i know i know, we all think ( know) our horses are beautiful but has anyone ever went about modelling your horse to be used in photo shoots ? it would be a great way od us funding our horsey passions and of course I think they are rather photogenic

any advice,websites, contacts much appreciated

Thanks

Koko was in a photoshoot for wedding gowns.

He was such a head-turner though and it paid for a new saddle! We were even asked if we wanted to sell him to someone who would use him in films but I said no as he was my baby :)

They use his sister now though

Have no iea but I'm using my horse/horses on the yard for my catalouge (in a few years once I've actually got some products) and if I were to go about looking for outside horses I'd advertise on forums, facebook etc;

Don't go with any agency who wants a payment upfront. You could fork out hundreds and never get any work.

My horse used to do a bit in the past I think.

My horse and I have been offered recently by professional photographers to do shoots for them for catalogues and artistic photographs.

I think you just need to make sure the contact is professional, rather than a lot of amateurs who are around. However, if you think this will 'fund' your horsey passion, I'd be looking at other avenues really. The money isnt that great and a lot of the time, it is TFP and you get some products.
