Thanks for feedback on previous pic, have taken a 'better' one today of him, so hopefully people will have a better idea of his build etc, please excuse the muddy feet lol

Ok, he looks very downhill but it is an illusion. If you draw a line between his fore and hind hooves you can see that he is standing on a slope or that his front is closer to the camera.

I think that he is slightly back at the knee, but nothing major.

I'd like to see a bit more slope in his shoulder angle, but again what he has is fine.

His off fore has a broken pastern-hoof angle but it could be the shadow making it look worse than it is.

I'd like to see his hindquarters out of the shadow so that I can see them properly.

I think that he will grow into his head although the camera angle could be making it look bigger than it is.

I was always told to assess horses conformation at 3 days, 3 months or 3 years so I maintain the right to change my mind about all of the above when he is three! :D

Hey thanks for the feedback! His left fore does turn out a bit, I noticed that too, and it may look worse than it is in the pic but it does turn out just the same.

Not sure I think he is back at the knee, but I definitely agree about his big head LOL. I thought Arabs had small heads :P Aparently he gets it from his mother! Oh and he has mule ears for an arab too!

Possibly a little, it's hard to see with the shadow.

I do like him though and I think that he is going through his 'ugly' stage at the moment and will probably be alot more handsome when fully grown than many people would expect. :D

Hey thanks I hope you're right and its an ugly stage, but to be honest for £200 I can't complain too much. My hopes are for a 15hh or bigger if he wants to lol personal riding horse, I don't intend to show or breed or hunt (obviously LOL) so if he can fulfill that it will be enough for me!

Last pic to grant your wish re: shadow on his bum :)

I think that as a potential happy hacker/fun horse he'll be great confo-wise. He's moving in the second pic, but looking between the two of them I think he'll be a nice 'workmanlike' type. OK, not a super fancy show pony but nothing stands out that would cause horrible soundness issues and I really do believe that he will grow in looks as he ages.

As long as he has a good brain and some luck (no nasty accidents) he should be everything you want. :) Plus if you're lucky he might be dapple grey at some point in the future, which is icing on the cake with a great big cherry on top! :D

Just posted a few minutes ago about Spirit, my 3 year old nightmare (due to lack of braincells, I think). I love him to bits, he's just a bit slow to learn. But he is totally gorgeous. I got him as a present when he was a foal from an elderly man I knew that has since died, so he's a bit special to me, but god, was he an ugly foal. He had a huge head, and i mean huge, really skinny long neck (now neck is still a bit long, but not so bad), and a small body. He looked like a cross between a miniture giraffe and a donkey, but has really grown into his body, and is a lovely little cob right now. He really is the ugly duckling that grew into the swan so I'd really wait and see until Mojo is 3, see what he looks like then, because as it stands, I think he's quiet pretty. Compared to what my lad looked like as a faol, he's a super model.
