I am trying to feed a supplement but as my horse is only given a handful (literally!) of nuts for breakfast and then the same again for tea, the two scoops of powder cannot be concealed very well and most of it gets left.
I had the idea to coat the nuts (and supplement) in molasses but my horse is on box rest and so I don't want to give her anything that will put any weight on her whatsoever or give her any energy at all... which obviously sugar can do both but would the eqivalent of two egg-cup fulls per day be of any harm?!
Thanks!

You could try watering the mollasses down a bit, so you have like a "gravy". This way they still get a bit of the taste but less of the sugar as it's not so concentrated.

Have u thought about maybe changing to a chaff based feed, like happy hoof so u can add powder and will stick with a bit off water. Hi - fi lite seems a bit boring but horses seem to like happy hoof

I think I'll water it down. I don't want the cudes to go mushy though.. they look more appetising as cubes than mush, lol!
Does Happy Hoof contain all the vits amd mins? I might consider that.. I'll google it now!

I'd just use water, try not to worry too much about how it looks! oh mare has mushy fast fibre which she absolutly loves and can't gobble it up fast enough!! Would def avoid molasses and other sugary treats tbh, but then I am a victorian mummy and hate giving them sugar!!
