I notice they now do their own brand horse wormer. I usually worm Equest and Pramox and i think theirs is a similar alternative (altho nothing said about intervals have emailed to ask) thought i'd point this out as a great money saver if so

Looking at the data sheet it is Ivermectin/Prazinquantel, so the same as Equimax and will have a similar dosing interal I would think. (Equest is moxidectin.)

Molemec Paste is available in tubes to treat up to 600kg there are 2 types available, 1 is straight Ivermectin £3.99 and the other is Molemec Plus, which will treat tapeworm as well £9.99

Neither will treat encysted red worm.

Ahh, Ok so not a replacement for Equest/pramox programmes?
Or could i just treat for encysted Redworm separately with something else?

I get so stressed over worming!

Moxidectin (Equest/Equest Pramox) is the only wormer that will do encysted redworm in one dose. The Pramox does tapeworm as well.
It also lasts a lot longer than ivermectins (molemec), so you wont need to dose as frequently!! So perhaps more of a money saver in the long run? with added peace of mind that everything has been covered?

Having used a mole valley worker I would reccomend them. I have had no problems etc at all and having researched them they are the same as the more expensive brands as there is now a standard which all wormers must meet. Save yourself some pennies.

The best money saver i know of is worm counts!
Half of the time when you think you 'should' worm a worm count will reveal you don't need to if you've always been strict with it.
Worming too often will only build resistance up in the worms :)
